Solemn Divine Liturgy in commemoration of Saint Paraskevi in Sofades - Consecration for the start of the work of the new Parish Spiritual Centertranslated

The memory of the glorious Holy Martyr Paraskevi was celebrated on Sunday, July 26, with splendor and in an atmosphere of opulence, in the celebratory Holy Church of Agia Paraskevi in Sofadon. The Metropolitan of Thessaliotidos and Phanariofersalon Mr. Timotheus officiated at the procession of Orthros and then performed the Divine Liturgy, flanked by clergy of the Holy Metropolis, while a large number of believers came to honor the great Saint of our Church and participate in the worship gathering.

During his sermon, he analyzed the apostolic reading of the day from the Epistle to the Galatians of the Apostle Paul, pointing out that the Church wisely connects the honor of the holy martyrs with the readings that reveal the deepest theological meaning of the Christian life. He referred to the Churches of Galatia, to which the Apostle Paul addressed, stressing that his word remains timeless and concerns every person who wishes to live authentically the life in Christ.
