Collection of old photos of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos Volos for the publication of a Historical Volumetranslated

A very important initiative was recently taken by the Ecclesiastical Council of the Metropolitan Church of Agios Nikolaos Volos. It is about the publication of a Scientific-Historical Volume, in view of the anniversary of the completion of one hundred (100) years since the foundation of the Church (1928-2028). For the management and organization of the whole effort, it was recommended, with the approval of Rev. Metropolitan Dimitriados Mr. Ignatiou, Scientific Committee, consisting of experienced and qualified persons, of known scientific and research value. These are:

Antonio Smyrnaios, Professor of Modern Greek History, History of Modern Greek Education and Teaching of History, University of Thessaly,

Chrysa Tsaganou, President of the Regional Council of Thessaly, Philologist, PhD candidate. University of Thessaly,

Annita Prassa, Doctor of History, Head of the General Administration of the Prefecture of Magnesia,

Evgenio Papadopoulos, Deputy Head of the Directorate of Archives, Museums and Libraries of the Municipality of Volos,

Dr. Alexandros Kapaniari, Professor-Advisor, Hellenic Open University.
