Vigilance in I.M. Myrsinidi Vrontado Chiostranslated

The Holy Monastery of Myrsinidi Vrontados of Chios honored its Patroness and Ephorus with the appropriate spiritual devotion and according to the monastic order. On the evening of Wednesday, September 23, at 7:00 p.m., the Great Vespers was celebrated, followed by the Little Supper.

In the evening of the same day, the Orthros Service was held and at midnight the centuries-old High Priestly Divine Liturgy officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Chios, Psara and Oinoussa, Mr. Markos, co-celebrated by the Confraternity of the Holy Monastery and chanters of the Chanters of the local Church. During the divine sermon, His Holiness made a profound spiritual and theological reference to the holy person of the Mother of God through biblical, paternal, hymnographic and ascetic testimonies.

On the morning of Thursday, September 24, the Orthros and Divine Liturgy was celebrated and on the evening of Thursday, the Metheortios Vespers.

A large crowd of Panagiophile faithful reverently came to pray to the Great Captain of Chios Panagia of Myrsinidis for sanctification, health of souls and bodies, ease of navigation of sailors and help of all those who use the benefits of Panagia.
