On Tuesday, September 8, 2026, the day on which our Church celebrates the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos, it celebrates the Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Plataniotissis, in the homonymous Local Community of the Municipality of Kalavryta. In a press release, the Holy Diocese of Kalavryta and Aegialia announces the program of the Holy Masses, which is as follows: The Holy Metropolis of Kalavryta and Aegialia is very happy to announce the program of religious gatherings for the Feast and Feast of the Birth of the Virgin at the Holy Pilgrimage of Panagia Plataniotissa.

Following the noble invitation of our Venerable Metropolitan Mr. Ieronymos, this year's festivities will be brightened with the blessed presence of High Priests from other Ecclesiastical Provinces.

I hope the weather will be good this year, because the last time I went there for the celebration of the Nativity of the Virgin, the little road that goes up to the plane tree was really slippery after the rain. The presence of the bishop of Montenegro gives me pleasure, it is rare to see a Serbian hierarch in our country. I wonder if they will serve the blessed bread under the plane tree as usual.

I remember when I was in Kalavrita, the wet leaves were really dangerous on that little road. Hopefully the weather will be dry this year. It is interesting that Metropolitan Ioannikios is coming from Serbia, it is good to celebrate together.

I also hope that the rain will spare us this time, last year I almost slipped while going up with my shopping bag. The blessed bread under the plane tree remains my favorite moment, we always meet local people there who we haven't seen for a long time.
