The Metropolitan Jacob in a Religious Meeting for Peace in Mexicotranslated

A meeting for peace, with the participation of representatives from different religious communities, was held at Anahuac University in Mexico on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The Orthodox Church was represented by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Mexico, His Grace Jacob.

During the meeting, participants highlighted the common desire to build a society where brotherhood, peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and reverence for every person would reign.

After the meeting, the Most Reverend had the opportunity to speak with university students and answer their questions. The meeting focused on the evangelical message: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God" (Matthew 5,9), emphasizing the need for continuous efforts in favor of peace, mutual support, and common good.
