With splendor and with the participation of a multitude of believers from Kymi, the surrounding areas, as well as many pilgrims, the Mother of God feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary was celebrated, centered on the pan-sept Holy Church of Panagia Liautsanissa, patroness and ephor of the Kymaeans everywhere. On the eve of the feast, the High Priestly Vespers was held, which was officiated by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Karystia and Skyros, Mr. Seraphim, who then presided over the Procession of Praises and the procession of the Epitaph of the Virgin Mary.

On the day of the feast, His Eminence Metropolitan Mr. Seraphim ministered in the same Holy Church, flanked by His Eminence Archimandrite Antonios Angelopoulos, the General Hierarchal Commissioner Protopriest Eleftherios Stampelos and Protopriest Vasilios Hassapis, vicar of the Metropolitan Holy Church of Agios Athanasios Kymis.

During the Social, the Most Reverend Metropolitan Mr. Seraphim preached the divine word, referring to the Canons of Prayer, which are among the most important hymns that the Church offers in honor and glorification of the Most Holy Theotokos.

I am glad that Seraphim spoke about the Prayer Rules in the Social, it is one of the hymns we sing most often at home. This year I was not able to go down to Kymi, but from the photos it seems that the people filled the church. Vassilis Hassapis is a good priest, I'm glad he was there too.
