The deputy governor of Rethymno, Maria Lioni, spoke to ERTnews and the show "Connections" about the fronts of the fires as they have formed in Rethymno. She stated that aerial means cannot operate due to the very strong winds blowing, noting that the effort is focused on ground forces.
