Piraeus Seraphim: "Wisdom, faith, hope, love. Four virtues that really define the human person"translated

Preceded by the Venerable Metropolitan of Piraeus, Mr. Seraphim, the memory of Saint Sophia and the three daughters of Faith, Hope and Love was celebrated in the Holy Church of the same name of the Holy Metropolis of Piraeus. Yesterday, Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the solemn Vespers celebration of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Piraeus Mr. Seraphim, co-celebrant of Theophilest Bishop Achelou, Mr. Niphonos, Assistant Bishop and Proto-Consignor of the local Church, was held.

The High Priests were flanked by the General High Priestly Commissioner Protopresbyter Ioannis Panagiotou and clergy of the Piraeus Diocese.

During his sermon, His Holiness, among other things, referred to the timeless message of the Holy Virgin Martyrs of Faith, Hope and Love and their mother Sophia, highlighting the importance of faith, hope, love and wisdom for the formation and spiritual completion of the human person.

Initially, His Eminence, praising our Holy God, referred to the ground-up renovation of the surrounding and emblematic Holy Church, characterizing this project as the fruit of the love, piety and fidelity of the fathers, who...
