Florina honored her Patron Saint Agios Panteleimontranslated

On the evening of Sunday, July 26, 2026, the Great Solemn Polyarchy Vespers was celebrated with ecclesiastical splendor in the Holy Metropolitan Church of Agios Panteleimonos of Florina, on the eve of the feast of the Patron and Protector of the city, Agios Magalomartyros, Iamatikos and Anargyros Panteleimonos. The Solemn Vespers was presided over by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis, Mr. Anthimos, concelebrated by the Eminence of the Metropolitan of Servia and Kozani, Mr. Pavlos and the respective Pastor, the Eminence of the Metropolitan of Floris, Prespo and Eordaia, Mr. Irinaios.

They were attended by the Member of Parliament P.E. Florina Mr. Stavros Papasotiriou, the Regional Governor of Western Macedonia Mr. Georgios Amanatidis, the Deputy Regional Governor P.E. Florina Mr. Athanasios Taskas, the Mayor of Florina Mr. Vasilios Giannakis, the Commander of the 9th Mechanized Brigade, Brigadier Stefanos Doxakis, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Regiment of Florina, Colonel Anestis Anestis, the Director of the General Hospital of Florina Ms. Panagiota Taratsidou, representatives of the Security Forces, as well as representatives of organizations and associations in the area.
