Farewell visit of the Ambassador of Cyprus to the Metropolitan of Swedentranslated

Rev. Metropolitan of Sweden and all Scandinavia Mr. Cleopas was visited on the afternoon of Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the headquarters of the Metropolitan in Stockholm, by the outgoing Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to the Kingdom of Sweden, His Excellency Mr. Solon Savva, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic term in the country. During the cordial meeting, His Eminence and Mr. Ambassador had the opportunity to refer to the excellent cooperation developed during the four years of his diplomatic mission in Sweden, as well as to the fraternal ties that connect the Holy See of Sweden with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus.

His Eminence expressed to the outgoing Ambassador his warm thanks for his noble presence and his valuable cooperation with the local Church and the Community, underlining the special importance of continuous communication and cooperation between the I. Metropolis and the diplomatic authorities of the Republic of Cyprus in Scandinavia.
