“Learn something new, listen to the masters”: the XII All-Russian bell ringing festival “Ufaleisky Blagovest” was held in Upper Ufaleytranslated

On September 12 and 13, 2026, bell ringers from the churches of the Yekaterinburg diocese took part in the XII All-Russian bell ringing festival “Ufaleysky Blagovest”. The festival is traditionally held with the blessing of Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass.

Residents and guests of the city of Verkhny Ufaley heard bells performed by more than 30 festival participants from St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Polevsky, Chelyabinsk, Kusa, Artemovsky, Kamensk-Uralsky, Kopeysk, the Republic of Tatarstan and the Donetsk People's Republic, and also attended concerts of the folk group of the Youth Theater "Prospekt Gornyakov", ensemble “Yeralash”, folk ensemble “Dubrava”, groups “Vesnushki” and “Bereginya”, Russian song ensemble “Sinegorye”, took part in the walking quest “Ringing Adventure” and the gastronomic competition “Cabbage Expanse”, and also tried to ring the bells on specially installed mobile belfries.

The festival began with a liturgy in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which was led by Metropolitan Alexy of Chelyabinsk and Miass. After the service, believers walked in a religious procession to the square near the city cultural center, where the celebration continued.
