The rector of the Church of All Saints led a prayer service with an akathist to the Exaltation of the Holy Crosstranslated

On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Archpriest Vladimir Yaromich performed a festive prayer service with an akathist.  The traditional prayer service took place at the Worship Cross on Cosmonaut Street in Lida, in agreement with the Lida Regional Executive Committee. Liturgical chants were performed by the church choir under the direction of regent Natalya Gorbach.

At the end of the prayer service, the clergyman addressed the assembled townspeople with a parting word and spoke about the meaning and veneration of the Life-Giving Cross by Christians. Archpriest Vladimir Yaromich congratulated everyone on the great holiday and wished that every Christian would bear his cross with humility, so that it would truly be a victory over sin and lawlessness for everyone, so that it would always be a sign of hope, unshakable firm faith and Christian love.

At the end of the prayer service, the sisters of the St. Basil's Brotherhood treated those gathered with sweets.
