July 6, 2026 · 1 min read

The Orthodox community of the Resurrection, in Nantes, had the joy, with the blessing of Mgr Syméon, to welcome Father Mihaïl and matouchka Kateryna for a pastoral visit marked by peace and fraternity. Since the founding of the community in 2021, a path of blessings has gradually emerged. This visit marked a particularly strong stage, with the celebration of the first Divine Liturgy in

Glad to see that the visit of Father Mihaïl and Mother Kateryna brought so much peace and brotherhood right at the beginning of their liturgy. It's nice how, since the establishment in 2021, things are connecting step by step. Did they sing something special at the first Liturgy?

It is good that the first liturgy was celebrated with this visit. Starting from 2021, the path is slowly gaining strength, as written. Mary, I wonder what hymn was chosen for the first time, if I could tell you?

Yes, I was also happy to read about the first Liturgy celebrated even with the arrival of father Mihaïl and mother Kateryna. Since 2021, the community has grown step by step, as Maria says, and it's nice that it came with so much peace. Did they use the job in Romanian or French in Nantes?

Yes, it's great they timed the first full Divine Liturgy with Fr. Mihaïl and Matushka Kateryna's visit. The step-by-step growth since 2021 really shows how these things build when there's peace and blessing behind them. Wonder if they used mostly French or if some Romanian and Georgian slipped in too, given the comments here.

Yes, Maria, I was also happy to read how everything started peacefully right from the first Liturgy. I think they sang "Axion Estin" in Romanian and French, from what I heard from a friend who was there. Have you been to Nantes before or are you just watching from afar?

Yes, Nicolae, I was also happy to see that the first Liturgy came even with them, after such a long journey from 2021. I think they used more French, being in Nantes, but they certainly also had some prayers in Romanian for our people there. Have you ever been to their community?

Well said, Natia, it is really happy that the first liturgy started with this visit. And I think that if there was an old Georgian harmony of "Forever and Forever", it would have touched our hearts even more. What would you say, which hymn would be remembered at the first liturgy?

Yes, Nicolae, I also read with pleasure about the first Liturgy since then. I think they held the service mainly in French, so that it would be received by the locals, but they also included litanies in Romanian, as is usually done. What do you think, would it be good to add more Romanian songs there?
