A press conference will be held at the Yekaterinburg TASS press center on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 12:00, dedicated to the arrival at the Church on the Blood of the great Christian shrine - the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimythous.

Participants of the press conference: senior priest of the Church-Monument on the Blood, chairman of the department for relations between the Church and society and the media of the Yekaterinburg diocese, member of the regional Public Chamber, Archpriest Maxim Minyailo;  head of the volunteer service of the Orthodox Mercy Service Tatyana Vladimirovna Lipatseva;  Deputy head of the Orthodox youth volunteer circle “Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders” Igor Bataruev.

Speakers will talk about the veneration of Saint Spyridon in Russia and, in particular, in the Middle Urals; about preparations for the solemn meeting and stay of the shrine in the Church on the Blood, about the service of volunteers and the participation of youth organizations, as well as about pilgrims from different regions of Russia and abroad - including delegates of the International Youth Festival.

The Hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifuntsky will arrive at the Church-Monument on the Blood in Yekaterinburg on September 11 at 21:00.
