On August 15, 2026, as part of the program of veneration of the new martyrs on the Vyatka land, a Liturgy was celebrated in the Transfiguration Church in the village of Verkhovino, Yuryansk district. The clergyman of the Transfiguration Monastery in the city of Kirov, a member of the Vyatka Diocese commission for the canonization of saints, Archpriest Andrei Lebedev, together with the rector of the church in honor of St. George the Victorious in the village of Yurya, Priest Pavel Lysov and the rector of the Transfiguration Church in the village of Verkhovino, during the Liturgy, they prayerfully remembered the saints, whose names, services and feats of asceticism are associated with this area - the holy martyrs Nikolai Zavarin and Alexey Lopatin. Deacon Sergiy Sushilov shared the prayerful joy of the service. Parishioners and pilgrims from Kirov and Yurya prayed during the service. After the service, glorification of the saints was performed. After the service, Priest Andrei Lebedev told the parishioners about the life path of Hieromartyr Nikolai Zavarin, leaving at the parish a valuable presentation about the life of the priest.
It is no coincidence that the names of these particular holy martyrs are remembered during services in the church in the Yuryansk district.
