The 82nd anniversary of the beginning of the liberation of the area from the Nazi invaders was celebrated in the Oshmyany regiontranslated

On July 7, commemorative events within the framework of the motor rally were held in the villages of Dertniki and Narbuty.

In Dertniki, at the memorial sign, a theatrical performance “Feat on the Oshmyany Land: Memory through Generations” took place. The ceremony participants included representatives of local authorities, public organizations, labor collectives, clergy, military personnel, youth and residents of the region.

The event was attended by the dean of the Oshmyany church district, Archpriest Georgy Mukha. The clergyman is repeatedly invited to participate in commemorative events in the area, paying special attention to the preservation of historical memory.

Speaking at the rally, the chairman of the district executive committee, Andrei Klyshevsky, recalled the tragic pages of the occupation and the heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland. Special words of gratitude were addressed to those who, at the cost of their lives, brought Victory closer.

Good that he mentioned Father Gheorghe Muha and his constant involvement. The post with "Подвиг на Ошмянской земле" seemed appropriate to me, especially since the young people were there. It's a shame they didn't write what exactly they played in that skit.

Yes, Father Georgij really knows a lot about those local events, last year he told me about one particular partisan hideout near Narbuty. The scene was nice, but I think it would have been better if they played at least one true story from the Dertniks so that it wouldn't be so generic. Matej, did you hear any specific story about the partisans there?

Yes, father Georgij really knows those places like the back of his hand, he also mentioned the hiding place near Narbuty to me, supposedly there was a good hiding place in the swamp. The scene was nice, but I agree that a real story from Dertnik would liven it up - I heard that a local boy brought bread to the partisans there until the winter of 43. Matej, do you know anything more about it?
