At the Exaltation of the Cross in the Philippines, four people were baptized into Orthodoxy, and in Vietnam, six were announcedtranslated

On the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, September 27, 2026, significant events took place in two countries cared for by the Philippine-Vietnamese Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church.
Thus, at the parish in honor of the Nativity of Christ in the Philippine city of Tagaytay, the rector of the parish, Priest David Grubbs, baptized four people, the diocese website reports.

In the Sacrament of Baptism, new members of the Russian Orthodox Church received the names Vasily, Athanasius, Christina and John.
On the same day, the rite of announcement was performed at the Intercession parish in the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh City.

Six people have passed this rite and will now prepare to receive the Sacrament of Baptism.
