Anniversary moment at the State University of Moldova: Metropolitan Antonie emphasized the importance of theological educationtranslated

Metropolitan Antonie of Bessarabia participated on Thursday in the ceremony dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the founding of the State University of Moldova and a century of Romanian university education in Bessarabia.

Held at the Palace of the Republic in Chisinau, in the presence of Her Excellency, Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova, the meeting highlighted the contribution of Romanian Orthodoxy to the beginnings of university life in this area and to the development of academic links between the two banks of the Prut.

Among the more than 600 guests were officials, members of the diplomatic corps and members of the academic environment from the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
