Metropolitan Antonie of Bessarabia awarded on Monday the members of the Society of Orthodox Women from the Diocese of Balti for their involvement in the life of the Church.

The ceremony took place during a meeting held at the "Anastasis" Educational Center in Balti. The festive moment marked the activity carried out by the organization in almost eight years of existence, in areas such as education, culture, mission and supporting people in difficulty.

The Metropolitan of Bessarabia thanked the volunteers for the consistency with which they supported the projects of the diocese and for their contribution to the activities addressed to the communities.

"In these years, you have been the soul of many cultural, educational and missionary initiatives of the Diocese of Balti. Through seriousness, creativity and love for the Church, you have managed to gather people, form communities and transform bold projects into great results", said His Eminence.

His Holiness Father Antonie urged them to continue this work "with the same unity and responsibility, for the benefit of the Church and the believers in northern Bessarabia".
