Metropolitan Nikita celebrated the Liturgy on the patronal feast day of the Church of John the Baptist in Krasnoyarsktranslated

On September 11, the 15th Week after Pentecost, on the day of the Beheading of the Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of John the Baptist in the city of Krasnoyarsk.

His Eminence was served by: the secretary of the Krasnoyarsk diocese, the rector of the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Krasnoyarsk, Archpriest Vladimir Dorosh, and clergy of Krasnoyarsk churches.

The church choir performed the liturgical chants.

During the Liturgy, special petitions and prayers for Holy Rus' were offered. With the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, this special prayer is performed in all churches of the Russian Orthodox Church at every service.
