Metropolitan John to teachers: “Save children from the virtual world”translated

With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, the Belgorod State Philharmonic hosted the grand opening of the regional pedagogical council, which brought together teachers, educators, school psychologists and heads of educational institutions in the region. The head of the Belgorod Metropolis, Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, sent a welcoming message to the forum participants, which was read out by the dean of the First Belgorod District, Archpriest Oleg Kobets. The Bishop began his address with an allusion to the very location of the forum. “The word ‘philharmonic’ means love of harmony,” he noted. “I hope that the Philharmonic hall itself will contribute to a harmonious dialogue and decisions of your forum, which will contribute to the development of the educational system of the Belgorod region.” Metropolitan John drew attention to the symbolic coincidence: the teachers' council takes place on the second day after the great feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord.
