Metropolitan Feodosius took part in a meeting of the Council for Cossack Affairstranslated

On July 23, a meeting of the Council under the Governor of the Samara Region for Cossack Affairs was held, in which Metropolitan Feodosius of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk took part. The meeting was chaired by the head of the region, Vyacheslav Fedorishchev. The event was also attended by the chief federal inspector for the Samara region, Mikhail Feoktistov, the ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society, Vitaly Kuznetsov, veterans of the special military operation, heads of government agencies and representatives of the Volga Military Cossack Society. The meeting participants discussed issues of supporting military personnel and developing specialized education. A Cossack volunteer detachment “Ermak” has been formed in the Samara region, whose representatives carry out combat missions in the zone of a special military operation. Together with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, comprehensive support for the families of fighters has been organized, including legal assistance and rehabilitation. Also noted at the meeting was the consistent development of the system of Cossack education and upbringing of the younger generation on the basis of the Samara Cadet Corps and specialized classes.
