Metropolitan Theodosius took part in events dedicated to the 215th anniversary of the Resurrection Church in the village of Voskresenkatranslated

September 15 in the village. Voskresenka Volzhsky district hosted an event dedicated to the 215th anniversary of the founding of the church in the name of the Resurrection of Christ. The central event of the anniversary meeting was the participation in it of Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk. Among the guests of honor at the event were representatives of the regional administration, regional ministries of tourism, education and science, as well as public figures and local historians. A promising historical and cultural concept for the development of the parish complex was presented to the attention of the archpastor and the meeting participants. The architects introduced the participants to the stylistic features of the ancient building and proposed a project for the restoration of the monastery bell tower, developed on the basis of archival drawings and the traditional fathom system. The experts also presented the project for the future museum-workshop “My Resurrection”.

Sculptors and artists presented the concept of decorating the interiors of the church in the traditions of Russian Art Nouveau and a sketch of a memorial sign to the famous local icon painter Semyon Chichkanov, the creation of which was dedicated to the 140th anniversary of his birth.
