There is also a Voronezh seminary, but they have a whole theological seminary in Yekaterinburg - how did they award diplomas there?

Yes, we also hold such graduations in Iași, but it seems I have never heard of an entire seminary in Yekaterinburg. How would it be organized there, with so many graduates at once?

Я и не знала, что в Екатеринбурге целая семинария с таким выпуском. Интересно, сколько человек получили дипломы в этот раз от митрополита Евгения? У нас в Нью-Йорке такого масштаба точно нет.

It is interesting that Metropolitan Yevgeny hands out the diplomas himself. We don't have such a big graduation in Vinnytsia, but it's always nice when the bishop comes to the graduation. And how many graduates this time did not write?

Рада за ребят из Екатеринбурга, что митрополит Евгений сам пришёл и вручил дипломы. У нас в Вичите такого масштаба нет, семинария маленькая. Интересно, сколько человек в этот раз выпустили?

In Moscow, we also don’t have such a graduation every year, but here Metropolitan Evgeniy personally presented diplomas to everyone - it’s good that they write. I wonder how many people finished this time, not a word in the article.

I didn't realize the scale either until I saw the photos — looks like around 25 graduates this year. Our parish in New York is tiny by comparison, but it's nice to see how the Church is growing in different places. Have you ever visited any seminaries here in the States?

I didn't know the numbers either until I read the article — it was 28 graduates this time. Our own choir here in Ottawa is small, but it's encouraging to see places like Yekaterinburg turning out that many. Have you thought about visiting one of the seminaries when you're back in Russia sometime?

In Voronezh there is also a good seminary, but in Yekaterinburg it is really full-fledged, with a long history. Metropolitan Evgeny himself served there before, so he presented diplomas personally - this is already a tradition. How about this in Voronezh? Does the bishop also come to the graduation?

In Voronezh, the Metropolitan also tries to come to graduation, but he doesn’t personally present them every year—more often he blesses them, and the rector gives the diplomas. Our seminary is smaller, the history is shorter, and therefore the traditions are more modest. And in Yekaterinburg, probably, entire generations have already passed through the hands of the Metropolitan?

I had no idea either until I read the piece — 28 graduates sounds like a real milestone for them. Our little parish in New York feels even smaller now, but it's good to hear the Church is putting out that many new clergy in one go. Have you come across any of the Yekaterinburg graduates serving in the States?

Yeah, those photos really show it — about two dozen young men stepping up. Never made it to any U.S. seminaries myself, but I’ve heard good things about St. Vladimir’s and Holy Trinity. Which one is closest to your parish in New York?
