The Minister of Sports of Russia and the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region visited the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christtranslated

The Minister of Sports, Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee Mikhail Degtyarev and the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Teksler visited the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. During a working visit to Chelyabinsk, the head of the Russian Ministry of Sports inspected the RMK-Arena multifunctional sports complex under construction in the north-west of the city. The next point on the route was the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, which is being built by the Russian Copper Company. The keymaster of the cathedral, secretary of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Archpriest Igor Shestakov, led the tour. He introduced Mikhail Degtyarev and Alexei Teksler to the shrines. The cathedral permanently houses particles of the relics of Saint Prince Vladimir and Princess Olga, as well as a particle of the Life-Giving Cross of the Lord. The Minister of Sports and the head of the region went up to the upper church, where finishing work and decoration continue. The visit ended near the sculptural composition “Cathedral of the Archangel Michael”.
