Metropolitan of Volokolamsk met Jordan’s Tourism Minister in Moscow

On September 11, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations (DECR) of the Moscow Patriarchate, met with Imad Naim Hijazin, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, at the DECR headquarters.

Representing the DECR at the meeting were Archpriest Igor Vyzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Department, and Priest Andrei Titushkin, a staff member of the DECR Secretariat for Far Abroad Countries.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs was represented by D. A. Trofimov, Deputy Director of the Department for the Middle East and North Africa.

The Jordanian delegation included Khaled Shawabkeh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Jordan to Russia; Alexander Toropov, Honorary Consul of Jordan in Yekaterinburg; Majd Abu Argoub, Jordan’s tourism representative in Russia; Anastasia Markaryan, Assistant to the Honorary Consul of Jordan in Yekaterinburg; and Arwa Mahadin, representative of Royal Jordanian Airlines in Russia.

Metropolitan Anthony welcomed the Jordanian minister and the members of his delegation.
