Metropolis of Kitros hosts Ukrainian families and children in Pieria

The Holy Metropolis of Kitros, Katerini and Platamon concluded on Sunday, August 9, its ten-day hospitality program for families and children from war-torn Ukraine at its Church Institutions Complex in Svoronos, Pieria.
The initiative formed part of the local Church’s pastoral, social and charitable ministry, offering practical support to people affected by the consequences of the war, with particular care for children who have experienced difficult and traumatic circumstances.
Throughout their stay, the Metropolis provided the Ukrainian guests with full accommodation and daily meals in a safe and welcoming environment, giving them an opportunity to rest and enjoy time away from the hardships they face in their homeland.
A program of excursions and recreational activities was also organized. The families visited religious and archaeological monuments, sites around Mount Olympus, seaside destinations, and other places of historical and cultural interest across Pieria.
