Members of the Romanian communities in Sicily gathered in Proserpina Park in Pergusa, Enna province, Italy, to celebrate Romanian Migrants Sunday.

During the meeting, the message of the Blessed Father Patriarch Daniel was read.

The demonstration was attended by Carmen Axenie, head of the consular office at the Romanian Consulate in Catania, and consul Viorel Axenie.

"This day once again demonstrated the strength of our community and the fact that a double membership enriches us: we can respect and love Sicily, the place that welcomed us, while remaining deeply attached to our Romanian roots," said the representatives of the Romanian Consulate in Catania in a post on the Facebook page.
