The month of St. Antim Ivireanul in the Diocese of Râmnic is dedicated to the friendship between the Romanian and Georgian peoplestranslated

The Archbishopric of Râmnicu dedicated the month of September to Saint Antim Ivirean and to the friendship between the Romanian and Georgian people. During the month, cultural, sports, artistic events and pilgrimages are organized.
According to the diocese, the events organized during this period represent a recognition of the contribution made by Saint Antim Ivireanu in spiritual, cultural and administrative terms as bishop of Râmnic.
At the same time, the contribution made by the saint on a missionary level is valued, by supporting Christian culture and spirituality both in his native Georgia and in other Christian-Orthodox communities.
Among these activities is the exhibition of icons "Faces of holiness", organized by the Archdiocese of Râmnicu, in collaboration with the Vâlcea County Center for the Conservation and Promotion of Traditional Culture.
"The opening at the Vâlcea Cultural Center is, at the same time, an act of valuing the Romanian spiritual and cultural heritage and a testimony of the responsibility to preserve and pass on to future generations the values of faith and tradition," the organizers say.
