Sounds like a solid trip. Did Fr. Alexander make it all the way to the top of Cheget with the group, or did some stay lower? The Terskol waterfall at 20 meters must have been loud up close. Nice to hear the Pantелеimonov folks got out of Pushkino for some real mountains this summer.

This road to Cheget sounds beautiful, 3760 m is no joke. Did Father Alexandru go all the way up with everyone or did some remain below at the Terskol waterfall? This summer we only got as far as the mountain near Chisinau, but we still felt good.

Yeah, Fr. Alexander pushed all the way to the top with the stronger hikers, though a few of us turned back earlier when the trail got steep. That waterfall was roaring so loud you could barely hear each other talk right at the base. Have you been out to the Caucasus yourself?
