The team from the Molodechno diocese took first place at the military-patriotic rally of Orthodox youthtranslated

From June 21 to June 26, 2026, the XVIII military-patriotic sports rally of Orthodox youth took place on the basis of the Polotsk border detachment. The event brought together more than 120 participants from 12 dioceses of the Belarusian Exarchate. With the blessing of Bishop Pavel of Molodechno and Stolbtsovsky, the Molodechno diocese was represented by the team of the military-patriotic club “Almaz” with their spiritual father, Archpriest Nikolai Savchuk.

The program of the rally included sports and military-patriotic competitions, acquaintance with the Polotsk border detachment, demonstration performances by military personnel of the maneuver group, an exhibition of weapons and equipment, presentation of video cards of teams, a competition for captains, viewing of military-patriotic films and bonfires of friendship. The young men competed in shooting, pulling up, running, overcoming an obstacle course, throwing grenades at a distance, mini-football and volleyball, and demonstrated drill skills and songs.

According to the organizers, the main thing remained spiritual content: daily prayers, dialogue platforms for teams with their confessors about moral choices and service to the Fatherland.

A special place in the program was occupied by the requiem meeting, held on June 22 at 4 am. Participants paid tribute to...

Young guys from "Almaz", especially good, took the first place. It's interesting, how they got out of the way with grenades and on polos. And the priest, Father Nikolay, probably, after the requiem meeting at 4 in the morning, talked a lot with them about what such an ongoing service is.
