Clergy of the diocese took part in the family holiday “Bread Savior”translated

On September 5, 2026, the city family holiday “Bread Savior” was held in Omsk.
The festival opened with a prayer service in the Seraphim-Alekseevskaya chapel, which was led by the rector, Priest Alexander Lemeshko with the clergy of the Omsk and Tara dioceses. During the service, bread products were blessed.
There were many venues for guests, as well as a fair of handicraft products. Master classes on prosphora baking, grinding grain with millstones, a traveling exhibition “Museum of Bread” - all these and other locations are located on the Resurrection Square. The festive mood was maintained by musical and creative groups, and everyone was treated to fresh pastries and warm tea from the samovar.
Throughout the day, visitors to the festival had the opportunity to participate in a food collection organized by participants in the “Bus of Mercy” project. The collected products will be donated to those who find themselves in difficult life situations.
The warm atmosphere of the holiday, like freshly baked bread, touched the hearts of the guests. This warmth was preserved in the smiles, conversations and hearts of the residents of our region, who took it into their homes.
