A diocesan clergyman attended an information hour at Vornyanskaya Secondary Schooltranslated

On September 25, the rector of the Church of St. John of Shanghai and the San Francisco agricultural town of Vornyany, Priest Leonid Chernyaev, took part in holding an information hour for students in grades 5-7 of the local high school.

In the first part of the meeting, the children were asked to think about what a healthy lifestyle is for a particular person, whether we need bad habits and how they affect us and the people around us, how to deal with bad tendencies.

The second part of the meeting was devoted to attitudes towards the older generation. Schoolchildren actively participated in the dialogue, talking about how their family treats people of the “silver age”, about respect and caring attitude towards older people.

Concluding the conversation with the students, Father Leonid thanked everyone present for their active participation in the conversation and expressed hope for new meetings with the guys.
