On September 1, the rector of the Church of the Zhirovichi Icon of the Mother of God in Beryozovka, Archpriest Vladimir Urbanovich, visited local secondary school No. 1, where he took part in a ceremonial assembly dedicated to the beginning of the school year.

Father Vladimir congratulated the schoolchildren, teachers and their parents and wished everyone to enter the new school year with joy.

Good to see Fr Vladimir there on the first of September. My younger brother went to that same school, and I remember how much it meant when the priest showed up for the lineup. Hope the kids carry that bit of encouragement into their lessons.
