The diocesan cleric spoke with students of the Khodorovskaya secondary schooltranslated

The rector of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the village of Dikushki, Priest Georgy Sevryuk, visited the Khodorovskaya secondary school and held a spiritual and moral conversation “Kindness and the essence of its presence in modern society.”

The priest drew the children’s attention to the fact that all life on earth was originally built by the Lord on goodness and good deeds. But with the increase of sin, people began to forget their real purpose given to us by the Lord himself in His commandments, on which our entire life, repentance and prosperity are based.

Those of us who go to church, confess and partake of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, abide with Him in His love, kindness and truth. This is the main reason for which the Lord became human, to show by personal example how to live on earth, to teach us to pray, to teach us kindness for the sake of God and our neighbor. And we also have examples of the good deeds of many holy saints of God, who patiently bore their cross and pleased the Lord on earth.

After the conversation, Father George invited the children to attend services in the church. And the students, in turn, thanked the priest for the conversation.
