With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, 115 years ago a solemn glorification of St. Joasaph, Bishop of Belgorod, wonderworker, took place in Belgorod. 35 years ago the saint returned to the cathedral city with his incorruptible relics. On September 17, the day of remembrance of the saint, the celebrations continued with divine services in the Transfiguration Cathedral. According to tradition, three Divine Liturgies were celebrated here: night, early and late by the bishop's rite. The late Liturgy was led by the Head of the Belgorod Metropolis, Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol. Concelebrating with him were guests of the Joasaph celebrations from different dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church: Metropolitan Tikhon of Oryol and Bolkhov, Archbishop Nikolai of Salekhard and Novo-Urengoy, Bishop Paisiy of Zheleznogorsk and Lgov, Bishop Savva of Valuysk and Alekseevsk, Bishop Ignatius of Cherepovets and Belozersky, Bishop of Magnitogorsk and Verkhneuralsky Zosima and Bishop of Shchigrovsky and Manturovo Feognost.
