With the blessing of Archbishop Lukian of Blagoveshchensk and Tyndinsk, Hieromonk Luke (Bulyukin) congratulated the staff of the Amur Regional Clinical Hospital and the Amur Regional Children's Clinical Hospital on Medical Worker's Day.
During the meeting, congratulatory messages addressed to doctors, nurses and all employees of medical institutions were read out on behalf of the ruling bishop.
The congratulations noted that the service of a physician requires not only high professionalism, deep knowledge and responsibility, but also special spiritual qualities - mercy, compassion and the willingness to sacrifice one’s strength to help others. That is why the work of a doctor is in many ways consonant with the Christian understanding of service to man.
It was also emphasized that the Diocese of Annunciation has been cooperating with the medical community of the Amur region for many years, and on the Day of the Medical Worker in the churches of the diocese, special prayers will be offered for the health of doctors and everyone who devoted their lives to preserving human health.
