Stress management, the theme of the first meeting within the Parish Athenaeum "Saint Pantelimon"translated

More than 70 young people and believers participated on Wednesday in the first meeting of the series of autumn dialogues organized within the Parish Athenaeum "Saint Pantelimon" - Foișorul de Fire in Bucharest. The meeting, entitled "Stress", opened a series of debates dedicated to the theme of "Deception", approached from a spiritual and practical perspective.

The guest of the dialogue was Cristiana Bratu, sports coach, nutritionist and master's student at the "Justinian Patriarch" Faculty of Orthodox Theology in Bucharest, majoring in "Social Mission of the Church".

During the dialogue, the main sources of stress in contemporary society were addressed, such as the effects of the pandemic period, the excessive use of technology and relational difficulties. Participants discussed their impact on emotional balance and the importance of cultivating discernment and spiritual life.

Father Bogdan-Aurel Teleanu, parish priest of the "Saint Pantelimon" Church - Foișorul de Foc, emphasized that chronic stress can influence the way people relate to those around them and to their own decisions.

I'm glad they brought up the stress of the pandemic and the excess of technology, because I feel them every day when I spend too much time on my phone. Cristiana Bratu seems like a suitable invitation, with her experience as a nutritionist and theologian. I would have liked to hear more about the practical exercises he proposed, maybe next time I will share them at our choir in Sibiu.
