Funeral Services held for Hieromonk Alexis (Lisenko)

PALOS HILL, IL [DOM] – On June 18 and June 19 services were held for the n ewly departed Hieromonk Alexis (Lisenko) at St. Luke Church, Palos Hills, IL.  His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest presided over the services for the newly reposed.

On Thursday evening, the Burial for a Monastic was served. Serving with His Eminence were Archpriest Alexander Kuchta, Chicago Dean, Archpriest Paul Jannakos, Rector, Archpriest Daniel Doss, Priest Alexander Koranda, Cathedral Dean, Priest John Segvitch, Protodeacon Andrew Werbiansky, and Deacon Stephen Hansen. The choir was directed by Protinica Michelle Jannakos. Fr. Paul offered a sermon honoring Fr. Alexis’ life and legacy within the parish of St. Luke.

The next day, Friday, June 19, the Archbishop was greeted by Fr. Paul and the Divine Liturgy was served by His Eminence. Assisting the Archbishop were Archpriest Paul Jannakos, Rector, Archpriest Daniel Doss, Priest John Segvitch, Protodeacon Andrew Werbiansky, Deacon Paul Garklavs, Deacon Lawrens Dugoni, and Deacon Stephen Hansen. The choir was directed by Protinica Michelle Jannakos.
