Another miracle of St. John (Maximovich)translated

Nowadays, it is not uncommon to complain that there are no longer miracles or miracle workers like those described in the New Testament and ancient lives. All this is supposedly in the past. Meanwhile, allowing themselves such generalizations, people ignore reliably recorded evidence of the action of God’s grace through Christian ascetics of relatively recent years and decades. This, in particular, applies to Saint John of Shanghai, especially to the Western European period of his ministry. Focusing on the albeit important, but still “earthly” aspects of his ministry, stories about the saint sometimes lose sight of what belongs to the realm of the eternal - the cases of those most numerous and amazing miracles that were performed through his prayers.
