Bishop Ignatius celebrated the Liturgy in the Parish of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the agricultural town of Druya, Braslav deanerytranslated

On July 11, on the day of remembrance of the “Three-Handed” Icon of the Mother of God, in the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the agricultural town of Druya, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe led the Divine Liturgy during the Summer Rally of Orthodox Youth of the Polotsk Diocese.

At the walls of the church with bread and salt and flowers, Bishop Ignatius was met by representatives of the Orthodox youth of the Polotsk diocese.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were: the dean of the Sharkovshchina church district, Archpriest Viktor Voloshchuk, the dean of the Rossony church district, Archpriest Alexander Gordevich, the head of the department for work with youth in the Polotsk diocese, Archpriest Igor Chechukovich, Archpriest Sergius Kovalsky, Deacon Ioann Kamenkov, and Deacon Boris Marmuzevich.

Liturgical chants were performed by a youth choir under the direction of Tatyana Chechukovich.

During the service, intense prayer requests for the restoration of peace were offered.

According to the sacramental verse, the sermon was delivered by the rector of the church, Archpriest Igor Chechukovich.

After the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, His Eminence and the concelebrating clergy performed a prayer service with the consecration of the icon of the Mother of God, called the “Three-Handed One.”

Καλά έκαναν που προσκύνησαν την εικόνα της Παναγίας Τριχερούσας. Η νεολαία με τον χορό τους υπό την Τατιάνα Τσετσούκοβιτς φάνηκε να συμμετέχει με όλη την ψυχή. Είθε να τους δυναμώνει ο Θεός.

Nice to see the youth choir under Tatiana Chechukovich leading the singing like that. The icon of the Three-Handed Mother of God getting blessed at the end ties right in with the feast day too. Hope the summer camp gives those young folks some real strength for the year ahead.

Qué bueno que el obispo Ignatiy celebró la Liturgia justo el día de la icono de la Tres Manos. Me gustó que el coro de jóvenes, dirigido por Tatiana Chechukovich, cantara durante la misa y que después hicieran el molebén para bendecir la misma icono. Ojalá esa juventud salga fortalecida del campamento de verano.

Хорошо, что владыка Игнатий приехал именно в день «Троеручицы» и молодежь сама пела. Запомнилось, что после литургии сразу освятили икону на молебне. Дай Бог, чтобы у ребят от этого слёта сил хватило на весь год.

Yes, Tatiana’s youth choir sang beautifully that day — you could tell they’d put in the hours. The blessing of the Three-Handed icon after the Liturgy felt especially right, given it was her feast. I hope the camp does give the lads and lasses that steady strength you mention; they’ll need it.

Sí, el día de la Tres Manos encajó perfecto con la liturgia. A mí también me llamó la atención que los jóvenes cantaran con tanto ganas, se nota cuando lo viven de verdad. ¿Sabes si la icono que bendijeron era nueva o ya la tenían en el templo?
