Bishop Ignatius blessed the Sunday School of the Epiphany Cathedral in Polotsk for the beginning of the new school yeartranslated

On September 20, the “First Bell” rang at the Sunday School at the Epiphany Cathedral. The prayer service before the start of the new school year was led by Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe.

Concelebrating with His Eminence was the confessor of the Sunday School, Priest Georgy Odynets, and the cathedral cleric Gennady Dzichkovsky.

The diaconal rank was headed by Deacon John Kamenkov.

At the end of the short service, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe sprinkled all those present with holy water and addressed those present: – Our dear pupils of the Sunday School of the Epiphany Cathedral, dear parents, brothers and sisters, dear clergy, another new year begins. Our children grow up and move from class to class. And the heart rejoices that they have the opportunity to accept Christian teaching from childhood.
