September 18, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 18, within the framework of the “Basics of Orthodoxy” club, which operates on the basis of the department of social rehabilitation, habilitation of the disabled and elderly citizens of the State Institution “Territorial Center for Social Services for the Population of the Rossony District,” a spiritual conversation was held dedicated to the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

With the blessing of the rector of the parish of the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, G.P. Rossony Archpriest Alexander Gordevich, the meeting was prepared and conducted by the head of the voluntary social group “Mercy” of the Rossony deanery, Nadezhda Ivanovna Zadrovskaya. The event took place in the church-chapel of the Rossony Central District Hospital. During the conversation, those present learned the history, meaning, significance and traditions of the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They also had a tour of the church-chapel, during which they got acquainted with the history and shrines.
