The clergy of the Gomel diocese blessed grain growers at the beginning of the harvesttranslated

In the districts of the Gomel region, traditional “Zazhinki” are held, dedicated to the beginning of the harvesting campaign. District leaders, representatives of agricultural enterprises, machine operators, drivers and agricultural workers gather in the fields.

The harvest for grain growers is a time of responsible and intense work. Before the start of work, farmers are greeted by the heads of districts and farms, words of gratitude are heard, and, according to tradition, the first sheaf of food is presented.

The priests of the Gomel diocese took part in the events, addressed agricultural workers with parting words, offered prayers and blessed the grain growers for the upcoming work.

Zhlobin deanery

In the Zhlobin district, the grain growers of the Fern-Agro branch of the BMZ were blessed by the dean of the churches of the Zhlobin district, Archpriest Alexey Smotritsky. He wished for God's help in his labors and sprinkled holy water on the grain harvesting equipment.

Chechersk deanery
