Opening of the 2026–2027 school year in Gorj Countytranslated

With the blessing of His Eminence Father Dr. Irineu, Archbishop of Craiova and Metropolitan of Oltenia, on Monday, September 7, 2026, the opening of the new school year 2026-2027 was marked in the educational units of Gorj County. For students, teachers and parents, the first day of school was a moment of excitement and joy, but also the beginning of a new year of work, study and preparation.

The opening festivities took place in several schools and high schools in the county, among them Secondary School No. 1 Motru, "Tudor Vladimirescu" Secondary School Andreești, Budieni Secondary School, Secondary School No. 1 Bumbești-Jiu, Ionești Secondary School, Turbulea Technological High School and the structure of Poiana Secondary School, Secondary School No. 1 Țicleni, "Ion Mincu" Technological High School, Tismana Technological High School, Cărpiniș School, Târgu Jiu High School with Sports Program and Mătăsari High School.
