September 3, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 1, 2026, ceremonial assemblies dedicated to the Day of Knowledge were held in all educational institutions of the Solnechnogorsk urban district. The clergy of the Solnechnogorsk deanery, according to tradition, took part in the celebration, sharing the joy of parents and children, congratulating teachers and students on the beginning of the school year. It’s good that the priests came to the line in Solnechnogorsk again. My eldest grandson studied at just such a school last year, and he remembered when the priest simply wished to “study wisely and not be lazy.” I hope it was the same this year too.

It's good that the tradition continues. Last year, an acquaintance of mine from Solnechnogorsk told me how the priest at their school simply and to the point said about “studying wisely and not being lazy” - Maria’s grandson, apparently, was in a similar school. I hope that this year the children remember something useful, and not just balloons and flowers.

Good thing the priests went to schools again. I liked how Marie said of the priest's simple words - "learn with your mind and do not be lazy" - exactly what children need to hear at the beginning of the year. I hope that this year they were left with something useful, not just long speeches.

Well said, Daniela. And in our parish, the father said something like that last year at the neighborhood school, and my boy remembered that simple saying all fall. I hope that in Solnechnogorsk they were just as short and to the point, not just speeches.

Well said, Daniela. At our place, the parent used the same simple saying last year and my 12-year-old son still repeats it when he starts his homework in the evening. Do you think that a little lesson in healthy cooking would also work in the leadership classes, so that they don't get lazy at the table either?

Well said, Daniela, that simple saying about the mind and laziness is pure gold for children. Here in Craiova, the parent said the same thing last year at my girls' school and he really caught them, especially the older one who is now in college. Do you think it would be good to add a short prayer before the speech, so that everything sticks better?
