That's a shame to hear. The crosses really made that cathedral stand out on the skyline. Any idea what they're planning to do with the building now?

Yeah, it's a real shame about those crosses—they did catch your eye from across the river. Any word on whether the Vologda diocese is trying to buy the place back or if it's just going to sit empty?

It's a shame that the last cross was also removed. They really saw the cathedral from afar, especially when you came over the bridge. Does anyone know if the Mitropolie is already doing something to get the building back?

It's a real shame, those crosses were the first thing you'd notice from the river. The article says the building's being turned over to the city museum for exhibitions, but I doubt it'll look the same without them. Have you been to Vologda yourself?

I remember seeing photos of those crosses from the river years ago—they really did catch your eye against the sky. Turning the cathedral into a museum exhibition space sounds practical for the city, but it’s a shame to lose that Orthodox witness on the skyline. Has the Vologda diocese said anything publicly about it?
