The Romanian Patriarchate received with deep sadness the news about the tragic fire in Brussels, as a result of which one Romanian citizen lost his life and another was seriously injured.

We pray to the Lord Jesus Christ to rest in peace the soul of the deceased person, to grant a speedy recovery to the injured and to offer consolation and comfort to the members of the bereaved family and to all those affected by this tragedy.

In these moments of pain, the Romanian Patriarchate expresses its compassion and solidarity with the families of the victims, entrusting them to God's mercy.
