The miraculous icon of the Mother of God “Tenderness” was met in the garrison church of Vilyuchinsktranslated

On August 18, the miraculous icon of the Most Holy Theotokos “Tenderness” was brought to the city of submariners Vilyuchinsk. In front of the garrison St. Andrew's Church, the Shrine was met by the Commander of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet, Rear Admiral V.V. Varfolomeev.  and personnel of the Pacific Fleet Submarine Forces.

Archbishop Theodore performed a prayer service in the co-service of Hieromonk Nestor (Smirnov), secretary of the diocesan administration, and addressed the submariners with an archpastoral word, noting the importance of the event for the Kamchatka region and its spiritual significance, and called for prayer for the granting of victory to our Russian army. Then the military personnel, their loved ones and parishioners of the church venerated the shrine.
