Ceuta Church strengthens support amid migration emergency

The Diocese of Cádiz and Ceuta has expressed its concern over the serious migration emergency unfolding in the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta, offering its cooperation to public authorities and announcing that this weekend's collections in the city's parishes will be devoted entirely to meeting the most urgent needs of migrants.

Daniel LewisThat's a solid move by the diocese, putting the weekend collections straight toward the migrants' immediate needs. We've done similar drives at our parish for local shelters and it always stretches further than you expect. Hope the cooperation with the authorities actually gets those supplies where they're needed fast.
